Hennepin County Services Contract <br /> 4 Councilmember Makowske recalled that the matter of the contract with <br /> 5 Hennepin County for assessing services had been tabled at a previous <br /> 6 Council meeting and inquired if any Councilmember wished to discuss <br /> 7 this item. <br /> 8 <br /> 9 Councilmember Enrooth felt some decision should be made before the <br /> 10 present contract expires in July. He also expressed concern with some <br /> it of the methods and formulas used by Hennepin County for establishing <br /> 12 values and questioned the professionalism of some of the appraisers. <br /> 13 <br /> 14 Mayor Pro-tem Ranallo felt the Hennepin County Assessing Department. <br /> 15 people were well aware of the Council ' s concerns from what was discussed <br /> 16 at the 1989 Board of Review. <br /> 17 <br /> 1.8 Councilmember Enrooth felt it would be appropriate for the City to use <br /> 19 the services of Hennepin County for one year longer, but not for an <br /> 20 additional four years as had been suggested by Hennepin County. <br /> 21 <br /> • 22 Councilmember Marks requested Councilmember Enrooth to pursue consulting <br /> 23 assistance on the assessing/appraising matter. Mayor Pro-tem Ranallo <br /> 24 requested staff to obtain additional information as well as explore <br /> 25 other alternatives. <br /> 26 <br /> 27 B. December Council Meeting <br /> 28 Motion by Marks, second by Enrooth to not hold a Council meeting on <br /> 29 Tuesday, December 26, 1989. <br /> 30 <br /> 31 Motion carried unanimously <br /> 32 <br /> 33 10.
