He noted that the city <br /> 24 office has received many inquiries from people who are in <br /> 25 favor of keeping the recycling center, open, and that people <br /> 26 are informed that the City plans to keep the center open as <br /> 27 long as it can although the future is uncertain. <br /> 28 <br /> 29 Council Member Enrooth asked City Manager Burt how much the <br /> 30 City has paid since the new charged went into effect . City <br /> 31 Manager Burt responded that he did not know what charges had <br /> 32 been incurred so far because the City has not yet been <br /> 33 billed. <br /> 34 <br /> 35 Mayor Pro Tem Ranallo stated that he is aware from person,.1 <br /> 36 experience that many Fridley residents are using the <br /> 37 St. Anthony recycling center and would like to sec it. r;-;°n- <br /> 38 open. He questioned the feasibility of continuing to allow <br /> 39 non-residents to use the center. Council Member Enrooth <br /> 40 asked how the use of the center could be effectively <br /> 4.1 controlled unless someone were paid to monitor it . <br /> 42 Pro Tem Ranallo suggested that the hours be limited, and <br /> -43 noted that the Boy Scouts might be prevailed upon to monitor <br /> 44 the center. <br /> 45 <br /> 46 City Manager Burt noted that a 66 percent reimbursement <br /> 47 might be forthcoming through Hennepin County. He also <br /> 48 suggested, in response to comment by Council Member. Enrooth , <br /> 49 that the Public Works Department might be able to provide a <br /> • 50 monitor. Mayor Pro Tem Ranallo suggested that, as a first <br />
