A <br /> review of the proposals is as follows: <br /> 1) LDSI $8,200.00 (82 hours) <br /> Pro's: <br /> 1) Highly recommended by the League of Minnesota Cities. <br /> 2) They do not sell hardware nor are they affiliated with <br /> a hardware company. <br /> 3) Low bid with a not to exceed clause in their proposal. <br /> Con's: <br /> 1) Oversold their abilities at the Council Meeting. <br /> 2) Focused too much on hardware issues. <br /> 2) GE Capital $11,400 (120 hours) <br /> Pro's: <br /> 1) GE has worked with several governmental units including <br /> Cities, Schools and State Government. <br /> 2) They have extensive experience with network applications. <br /> 3) Their proposal is well organized and representatives from GE <br /> focused clearly on the task at hand. <br /> Con's: <br /> 1) They have a hardware-related division and could use their <br /> consulting position to promote hardware sales. <br /> 2) This company has a history of high turnover in personnel. <br />
