Mechanical System: <br /> ♦ Observation: <br /> Heating: <br /> • Three forced-air,high-efficiency <br /> furnaces are being used in the <br /> building <br /> • One furnace room is being shared <br /> with an office near the front of the <br /> building on upper level <br /> • Original ducts were laid in a way <br /> so they do not conflict with the <br /> pin setting equipment in the rear <br /> of the building—Existing ducts <br /> only extend through the front half of the building whereas rear half of the <br /> building is heated by a fan using heat from a furnace located at lower level <br /> • Overall space being open feels little cold inside <br /> • It was confirmed by the current owner that monthly cost to heat up the building <br /> is approximately$ 1,100 per <br /> month <br /> • Capacity and brand name of the <br /> equipment are unknown <br /> • A painted gooseneck mechanical <br /> exhaust on West wall is bent and <br /> need maintenance <br /> Fire Sprinkler System: <br /> • Only lower level is sprinkled in <br /> the building.There is no sprinkler <br /> system on upper level <br /> Air Conditioning: <br /> • There are two rooftop air conditioning units in the building. Brand name <br /> and capacity are not known <br /> ♦ Observation regarding conversion to Teen Center: <br /> • HVAC system needs to be modified to so that it is efficient and functional in <br /> all portions of the building—this will involve re-arranging and possibly adding <br /> new heating and cooling ducts <br /> • Age and brand of the equipment need to be verified for maintenance <br /> • Capacity of the equipment needs to be verified to determine its adequacy <br /> H. Electrical Lighting <br /> ♦ Observation: <br /> • Interior of the building is lit with <br /> fluorescent bulbs—mostly 8' long <br /> • Lighting level is very low in the F <br /> lower level <br /> • Most of the electrical conduits are <br /> exposed on the wall—concealed <br /> in ceiling <br /> • Lighting is inadequate inside the <br /> building for its future use <br /> • Electric main power comes into the building from Southeast corner of the <br /> building—near the rear entrance <br /> 10 <br />
