1 If an amendment to the Comprehensive Plan is done this year, it will have <br /> 2 to be budgeted for 1996. Research costs for an engineering firm, i.e., BRW, <br /> 3 will have to be determined to be budgeted. They also discussed the need for <br /> 4 a Committee or Task Force to compile information that is not necessary for <br /> 5 an engineering firm to do. <br /> 6 V. STAFF UPDATES. <br /> 7 1. Fordham Drive Development, Bruce Nedegaard — Staff reported on the <br /> 8 application of Mr. Nedegaard to rezone and subdivide Mounds View Acres <br /> 9 in order to build twinhomes. He is also planning to re-plat two residential <br /> 10 lots. Nedegaard will move in a house one lot and has sold the other lot to <br /> 11 the Schroeders. <br /> 12 2. Mako, Inc/Olson Properties, Arnold Gregory — Staff reported on the <br /> 13 application of Arnold Gregory to rezone and subdivide three parcels <br /> 14 originally owned by_Mako, Inc./Olson Properties so that he can build a <br /> 15 townhome development. Staff also reported that Mr. Gregory will need to <br /> 16 apply for frontyard and backyard setback variances. <br /> 17 3. Zoning Ordinance Amendment regarding Lot Coverage — Staff reported that <br /> 18 several cities have more lenient lot coverage restrictions. City Council has <br /> 19 asked that this issue be studied to determine if St. Anthony's restrictions are <br /> 20 too strict. <br /> 21 4. Zoning Ordinance Amendment regarding Adult Use/Sexually Oriented <br /> 22 Businesses — Staff reported that because this is a zoning ordinance <br /> 23 amendment, the Planning Commission will need to hold a public hearing on <br /> 24 this issue. Staff presented a draft of the proposed amendment of the <br /> 25 ordinance along with information from the studies that the City Council had <br /> 26 to review in drafting this ordinance amendment. <br /> 27 5. Tax Increment Financing Budget and HRA Plan Amendment — Staff <br /> 28 reported that the Legislature requires the municipality's planning agency <br /> 29 review amendments to the TIF Budget and HRA Plan. The Commission's <br /> 30 opinion needs to be in writing. <br /> 31 VI. ADJOURNMENT. <br /> 32 The worksession was adjourned at 9:30PM. <br />
