Clear and Open Communication. <br /> 9 Cavanaugh requested that City Manager Mornson present the goals for the 2000-2001 year. <br /> 10 Mornson directed the Council's attention to page 36 of the agenda packets,which stated the <br /> 11 City's key goals are to: <br /> 12 1. Provide 100-Year flood protection for all residents and businesses to protect health and <br /> 13 property; <br /> 14 2. Preserve the beauty of the property now owned by the Salvation Army Camp to serve <br /> 15 both current and future generations; <br /> 16 3. Focus on redevelopment initiatives so that the City's image and tax base stays firm; <br /> 17 4. Keep the Village look and feel so that the City is attractive to both residents and <br /> 18 businesses; <br /> 19 5. Protect and maintain the City's infrastructure so that the City works both now and in the <br /> 20 future; <br /> 21 6. Offer clear, current, and open communications through a variety of means so people are <br /> 22 informed about St. Anthony's important issues and news; <br /> 23 7. Provide a Park System that offers a mix of recreational opportunities for residents of all <br /> 24 ages; <br /> 25 8. Shape the future by defining and reviewing regularly the City's goals and fiscal policies. <br /> 26 Additionally,Mornson stated that the City has several objectives for the 2000-2001 year in rela- <br /> 27 tion to providing 100-year flood protection for all residents and businesses to protect health and <br /> 28 property: <br /> 29 1. Complete the 29th Street Project; <br /> 30 2. Complete the Harding Project; <br /> 31 3.
