South Section: Apache Mall, Office, Commercial and Residential Uses <br /> A large number and variety of uses exist in the south section of the study area. The Apache Mall building ■ <br /> and associated properties dominate the interior of the site, as they currently occupy approximately 35 <br /> acres. Stand-alone retail and commercial properties have developed along Silver Lake Rd. and Stinson <br /> Blvd.. In 1996, a sizeable portion of the interior of the site on the north side of the mall was sold to allow for <br /> the development of a Cub grocery store. The old Super Valu store that was located along the southern <br /> boundary of the site near Stinson Blvd,was demolished but remains part of the land held by the mall owner. <br /> On the west side, 391'Ave.continues into the interior of the site and borders a number of small commercial <br /> uses and office buildings. <br /> Immediately south of Silver Lane is the 140+ unit Equinox Apartments housing complex. The complex is ■ <br /> comprised of nine buildings located in two clusters.
