I CITY OF ST. ANTHONY D Li=d <br /> 2 PARKS COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES <br /> 3 July 9,2001 <br /> 4 7:00 p.m. <br /> 5 Conference Room <br /> 6 I. CALL TO ORDER. <br /> 7 Chair Jindra called the meeting to order at 7:28 p.m. following a tour of Silver Point Park and <br /> 8 welcomed everyone in Attendance. <br /> 9 II. ROLL CALL. <br /> 10 Present: Chair Jindra, Vice Chair Doug Koehntop, Commissioners Colleen <br /> 11 Hallada,Jan Jenson, and George Wagner. <br /> 12 Absent: Commissioners Daniel Ganley and Julie Gebhardt. <br /> 13 Also Present: City Councilmember Randy Hodson; Public Works Director Jay <br /> 14 Hartman; Representative from Community Services Diane <br /> 15 Skrivseth; Representative from Sports Boosters George Zurbey; <br /> 16 Representative from the School Board Denise Dunn (arrived at <br /> 17 8:18 p.m.); Independent Contractor Maury Anderson; and Molly <br /> 18 Olivier, SEH. <br /> 19 Chair Jindra reviewed the tour findings and work that will be occurring at Silver Point Park to provide <br /> 20 better drainage and possibly replace trees. Chair Jindra also advised of the tours of Water Tower Park <br /> 21 and the Skate Park. She commented on the resident comments received regarding the condition of the <br /> 22 parks and need to enforce the requirement for protective gear and no smoking at the Skate Park. <br /> 23 III. APPROVAL JUNE 11, 2001 PARKS COMMISSION MINUTES. <br /> 24 Motion by Commissioner Hallada, second by Vice Chair Koehntop, to approve the June 11, 2001 <br /> 25 Parks Commission Meeting Minutes. <br /> 26 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 27 IV. PRESENT FINAL DESIGN OF CENTRAL PARK BUILDING STRUCTURE - MOLLY <br /> 28 OLIVIER WILL BE PRESENT. <br /> 29 Chair Jindra welcomed Ms. Olivier, who came forward to present the final design for the Central <br /> 30 Park building structure with the Commission. <br /> 31 Molly Olivier, SEH, stated they hope this will be the last park building redesign before the Parks <br /> 32 Commission. She reviewed the meeting which occucTed on June 19, 2001 and conclusion that <br /> 33 the warming house/meeting room should handle groups of 20 people and the restroom count <br /> 34 should stay the same (3 units per restroom). The storage and mechanical spaces were cut back <br /> 35 while still accommodating the needs of the pool. She noted the revisions still maintained a <br /> 36 fireplace, the kitchenette features, large windows, wood trim, and charcoal grill in the picnic <br />
