3.3 Community Issues Forum: SWOT Analysis Results <br /> Participants were asked to provide their opinions on the major issues that the planning <br /> process should address. They were asked to use their knowledge and experience to <br /> identify what they believe to be the area's strengths and what they see as the opportuni- <br /> ties that might be available to the area and the community based on those strengths. <br /> Participants were also asked to think about the challenges that face the area in the future <br /> and identify what they believe to be the areas greatest weaknesses. They were asked to <br /> identify whether there are forces, trends, or changes from outside the area that may be <br /> beyond the community's direct control that pose threats to the area's future. Comments ■ <br /> were then read aloud and recorded for the consideration of all attendees. Participants <br /> were then asked to rank their top five priority issues raised in each category. <br /> Strengths <br /> 1. Great location in the Twin Cities <br /> 2. Schools ■ <br /> 3.
