I
Agenda Item Number Reports-3a
Status Informational
MEMORANDUM
DATE: May 6 , 1982
TO: Dave Childs , City Manager
Department Heads
Ron Berg,- Administrative Assistant
Lila Johnson, Billing Clerk
FROM: Connie Kroeplin, Secretary
SUBJECT: Notes on May 5 , 1982 Staff Meeting
- ---------------------------------------------------------------------
The meeting opened at 9: 35 A.M. Those present were : Dave Childs ,
Ray Nelson, Lee Entner, Don Hickerson, Ron Berg, Carol Johnson ,
Larry Hamer and Connie- Kroeplin. No one was absent.
Mr. Childs opened the meeting with discussions on some of the items
which will be on the Council' s May 11th agenda.
(1) The B. Preussner parking problem. Mr. Childs will recommend no
parking signs be put up whenever Skycroft will be swept.
Mr: Hamer thought this recommendation might be misconstrued as
being "selective" and suggested he (Mr. Hamer) could meet with
Mrs . Kelly (Mr. Preussner' s neighbor) to tell her when the street
will be swept. The least acceptable alternative would be to
pass a law.
(.2) Sroga Service Station. . Mr. Childs and Mr. Hamer have met with
Mr. and Mrs— Sroga regarding the neighbors ' complaints . They
both came .away from that conversation feeling Mr. Sroga intends
to be as cooperative as much as is economically feasible. Mr. Sroga
stated he wishes to expand the holding area and also erect a
cedar fence along the front of the lot. He has already ceased to
sell cars , which he stated he would do.
(3) Craig Morris . The Irrevocable Letter of Credit has been cashed
in. The fence has not yet been constructed as of May 6 , 1982 .
(.4) Don's Amusement Enterprises , Inc. Chief Hickerson will discuss
security and any problems which could arise with Ruth Welch of
Apache Plaza.
C5) The bids for the St. Anthony Boulevard Bridge project will be
opened the latter part of May. It is anticipated work can then
begin by the middle or latter part of June. Sunset Memorial
Cemetery is requesting permission to construct a roadway under
the bridge and parallel to the railroad tracks . This w veld allow
• them to close off their two accesses at the intersection of
St. Anthony Boulevard and Highway 88.
