page two
i
We, Mr. Hamer, Mr. Campbell and myself, see several advantages accruing to
St. Anthony Village in the granting of the easement, and thus allowing the
connection of the two Park sections:
First, the two entryways at the intersection of the Boulevard and Highway
88 would be permanently closed and removed, thus eliminating a very
hazardous multiple-access condition currently existing at that
intersection;
Second, our funeral processions would always be using the main entrance of
Sunset Memorial Park, thus allowing a consistent routing and hence
better traffic flow and, perhaps, more parking allocation;
Third, Sunset would assume all costs of construction involved with the
easement and connecting roadways, and all costs involved with the
future maintenance of the bridge area adjacent to that easement;
Fourth, Sunset would gladly cooperate in all ways possible with St.
Anthony Village in the phase of the project concerned with the
widening and beautifcation of the Boulevard and its right-of-way.
On behalf of Sunset Memorial Park, thank you for your audience.
