• STAFF MEETING NOTES <br /> JANUARY 17, 1989 <br /> The meeting began at 10:00 A.M. Those present were Larry Hamer, <br /> Dave- Childs, Lee Entner, Sue VanderHeyden, and Connie Kroeplin. <br /> Ray Nelson and Don Hickerson were absent. <br /> Lee Entner <br /> 1 . Concerning the ISO (Insurance Services Office) Report, a <br /> package of information will be put together regarding fire <br /> insurance rating. Fire ratings are only- done every 10- to <br /> 15 years. The City's last one was a 116". The most recent <br /> one (last year) improved the rating to a 115". The new rates <br /> will be effective as of March 1st and will affect commercial <br /> rather than residential properties. <br /> 2. Chief Entner will get quotes fora cellular phone for the <br /> fire department. <br /> 3 . Work on the fire station is expected to be completed in <br /> about two weeks. <br /> • 4. The firefighter position which will become open upon the <br /> retirement of Bob Lee, is open to all full , part time, and <br /> police and fire volunteer City personnel. Applications must <br /> be received at the fire station by January 24th. <br /> 5. A new "used" copy machine has been ordered for the fire <br /> department, as budgeted for 1989. <br /> Sue VanderHeyden <br /> 1. Ms. VanderHeyden will be attending a seminar on Section 89 <br /> (the internal revenue code for employee benefit plans - <br /> health, life and taxable status) . <br /> 2. The City Newsletter will be sent today. <br /> 3. The School District had been paying for a pay phone in the <br /> hallway at Parkview. The City is checking into the <br /> feasibility of moving the phone elsewhere (possibly by the <br /> door to the police department) . <br /> Larry Hamer <br /> 1. The air relief valves on the carbon filters in the temporary <br /> • carbon facility are not functioning properly. The Calgon <br /> people were here this week to check the facility and make <br /> some repairs. <br />
