1 Council Concurs With Three Year Contract With Animal Control Management, • <br /> 2 Inc. <br /> 3 Police Chief Hickerson's February 6th memorandum advised the Council of <br /> 4 the changes in the 1988 contract with the White Bear firm including the <br /> 5 fact -that the proposed contract he was recommending would be for a three <br /> 6 year rather than a one year period. His memorandum pointed out that <br /> 7 there was no reasonable alternative available and the fact that the City <br /> 8 had the option of canceling upon 90 days notice, if the service proved <br /> 9 unsatisfactory. <br /> 10 Council Action <br /> 11 Motion by Marks, seconded by Enrooth to authorize the execution of the <br /> 12 proposed three year contract with Animal Control Management, Inc. as <br /> 13 recommended by Police Chief Hickerson. <br /> 14 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 15 Council Concurs with Continuation of Silver Lake Road Parking <br /> 16 Restrictions for Ramsey County Bituminous Overlay Project <br /> 17 Ms. -VanderHeyden explained that although parking was already restricted <br /> 18 in the proposed construction area, passage of the resolution in the <br /> 19 Council agenda packet was necessary to meet the MSA parking requirements <br /> 20 for the project. <br /> 21 Council Action <br /> 22 Motion by Ranallo, seconded by Enrooth to adopt the resolution which <br /> 23 requests parking be restricted on Silver Lake Road between County Roads <br /> 24 , D and E as requested by the Ramsey County Department of Public Works. <br /> 25 RESOLUTION 89-006 <br /> 26 A RESOLUTION REQUESTING PARKING RESTRICTIONS <br /> 27 ON SILVER LAKE ROAD <br /> 28 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 29 UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> 30 Decision Related to Public Works Involvement in City Float Construction <br /> 31. Delayed for Cost Estimate <br /> 32 Councilmember Ranallo and Ms. VanderHeyden addressed the above <br /> 33 possibility, which had been - discussed during the ,last meeting of the <br /> 34 VillageFest Committee, indicating that: <br /> 35 >to date the Float Committee had only raised $2,500 from the TriCity <br /> 36 American Legion to cover both the costs of the Fest and the float; <br /> 6 <br />
