WdU4 4 acrd S"t .641004dewu
wo -rWd"" 4 Sea,&e
942 Lowry Avenue N.E. Minneapolis, Minn. 55418
Phone(612) 781-3316
To: St. Anthony Planning Commission
Atten: Larry Hammer
Re : Fence Variance Request
Mr. Nick Yarr
3104 Armour Terrace
Dear Sirs;
This is to inform you that I George Zahhos,
3100 Armour Terrace do vehemently oppose any
variance of the building code governing Mr. Yarr' s
fence abutting our property. Mr. Yarr has chosen to
openly and flagrantly ignore the laws of St. Anthony
and the orders of Larry Hammer. Mr. Yarr dug holes
on our property without a building permit, without
finding the property line and tried to pass off a
stake, which was placed in the 15 ft. city easement
area, as the property line. After he received the
building permit and building restrictions governing
building fences he proceeded to construct the fence
ignoring all restrictions. The fence does not Meet
the code. Mr. Yarr may claim his need to construct a
fence due to pipes and oil bottles next to our garage!
This fact is irrelevant to his request for a variance.
The law states what can and can not be done. I have
no objection to a fence that meets the building code
of St. Anthony.
Mr. Yarr constructed the fence in question after
receiving a building permit - knowing full well the
restrictions. Why is he allowed to request a variance
now? Isn' t this a flagrant act of disobedience to
our laws?
Sincerely,
i
