Viking Chevrolet <br /> 9 Motion by Marks, second by Enrooth to approve payment in the amount <br /> 10 of $12 ,840.06 to Viking Chevrolet for a new squad car. <br /> 11 <br /> 12 Motion carried unanimously <br /> 13 <br /> 14 M. Verfied <br /> 15 Motion by Wagner, second by Marks to approve payment of the verified <br /> 16 claims as listed for accounts payable dated June 27, 1990 .and liquor <br /> 17 accounts payable dated May 31 , 1990, June 12 , 1990 and June 30, 1990. <br /> 18 <br /> 19 Motion carried unanimously <br /> 20 <br /> 21 Councillmember Makowske stated she had contacted the Finance Director <br /> 22 regarding questions she had about two checks . She indicated she had <br /> 23 received no call back. The City Manager will follow up on this matter. <br /> 24 <br /> • 25 6. REPORTS <br /> 26 <br /> 27 Commissioner Jerry Faust attended the meeting representing the Planning <br /> 28 Commission. <br /> 29 <br /> 30 The minutes of the June 19, 1990 Planning Commission meeting were dis- <br /> 31 tributed at this Council meeting. Commissioner Faust stated they appear <br /> 32 to reflect accurately what transpired at the June 19th meeting. <br /> 33 <br /> 34 Councilmember Wagner stated he will abstain on any Council votes re- <br /> 35 garding items acted upon from the June 19th meeting as he was seated <br /> 36 as a Commissioner of the Planning Commission at that meeting. <br /> 37 <br /> 38 1 . D. Drews, setback variance request for 2609 St. Anthony Boulevard <br /> 39 Mr. Drews is requesting a one foot variance to the setback requirement <br /> 40 of the City' s Zoning Ordinance. His proposed garage 'would be three feet <br /> 41 from the property line as required by ordinance, however , the overhang <br /> 42 of the garage would be one foot into the three foot requirement. The <br /> 43 ordinance requires such a structure to have a three foot setback from <br /> 44 the property line including the overhang. <br /> 4c <br /> 46 Mr. Drews noted that there is a telephone pole in the driveway so he would <br /> 47 need this extra foot to approach his garage. Councilmember Enrooth <br /> 48 observed that all of the houses on St . Anthony Boulevard have a peculiar <br /> 49 problem in that residents seldom, if ever, park on St . Anthony Boulevard . <br /> 50 They usually park in the alley. He felt the location the telephone pole <br />
