Loeffler, Manager of Street Operations for Metro Transit has indicated a <br /> willingness to work with the City to coordinate any necessary re-routings <br /> and assist in minimizing disruptions. Depending upon which direction <br /> traffic is maintained on 33' Avenue NE while the street rehabilitation <br /> work is being accomplished, Mr. Loefller's proposal would be to have the <br /> opposite traffic re-routed to 34 h Avenue NE for the duration of the <br /> construction period. <br /> 6.0 Project Cost Estimate <br /> The project cost estimate is based upon a visual review of the present <br /> condition of the existing roadway and is made without soils exploration. <br /> Item Total <br /> Street Repair and Concrete Planing $375,000 <br /> Revise Signal System 16,000 <br /> Sidewalk, Retaining Wall and Restoration 45,000 <br /> Sanitary Sewer Improvement (Edward Street) 15,500 <br /> Sanitary Sewer Relining on 33`d 62,000 <br /> Storm Sewer Improvement 25,000 <br /> Traffic Control 7.500 <br /> Subtotal 546,000 <br /> Contingencies 62.800 <br /> Subtotal 608,800 <br /> Engineering and Administration 82.000 <br /> Total 690,800 <br /> 7.0 Funding <br /> Funding for the sidewalk, street repair, signal reconstruction and an <br /> estimated 55%of the storm sewer improvement is to come from the City's <br /> Municipal State Aid (MSA) account. The portion of storm sewer work <br /> not funded by the MSA account will come from the City Storm Sewer <br /> fund.
