Honorable Mayor, City Council, and <br /> City Staff 40 <br /> April 15, 2002 <br /> Page 3 <br /> The wastewater portion of the needs study will evaluate the capacity of the existing <br /> Foss Road lift station and the trunk sanitary system which serves Apache Plaza: <br /> The study will outline any necessary improvements to the Foss Road lift station and <br /> this wastewater conveyance system to accommodate between 400 and 700 units on <br /> the Apache Plaza parcel. <br /> This study will also look at the wastewater system south of 27`h Avenue. Based on <br /> televising reports it appears that the system is reaching its maximum service life <br /> and will need to be replaced in the very near future. This study will identify which <br /> type of improvements would be necessary. <br /> The water and wastewater needs study is proposed to be completed for$48,500 and <br /> a resolution for your consideration is attached. <br /> VIII. 2001 Flood Improvement Grant Program <br /> There are a few homeowners who were unable to complete a flood improvement <br /> project in 2001. We will continue to work with these homeowners to complete <br /> those projects early this summer. <br /> IX. Silver Point Park <br /> The rain and snow in November prevented the grading and seeding contractors <br /> from completing their work in the park. We anticipate installing additional drain <br /> tile in the west side of the park to improve drainage and complete finish grading as <br /> soon as conditions allow.
