Occupant - any person (including owner or operator) living, sleeping, cooking <br /> 4 and eating in a dwelling unit or living and sleeping in a rooming unit. <br /> 5 <br /> 6 15. Operator - the owner or his/her agent who has charge, care, control, or <br /> 7 management of a building, or part thereof, in which dwelling units or rooming <br /> 8 units are let. <br /> 9 <br /> 10 16. Owner - any person, firm or corporation who, alone,jointly, or severally with <br /> 11 others, shall be in actual possession of, or have charge, care or control of, any <br /> 12 dwelling, dwelling unit, or rooming unit within the City as owner, employee or <br /> 13 agent of the owner, or as trustee or guardian or the estate or person of the <br /> 14 title holder. Any such person representing the actual owner shall be bound <br /> 15 to comply with the provisions of this ordinance to the same extent as the <br /> 16 owner. <br /> 17 <br /> 18 17. Permissible occupancy- the maximum number of persons permitted to reside <br /> 19 in a dwelling unit or rooming unit. <br /> 20 <br /> 21 18. Person - an individual, firm, partnership, association, corporation or joint <br /> 22 venture or organization of any kind. <br /> 23 <br /> 24 19. Plumbing - all of the following supplied facilities and equipment in a dwelling: <br /> 25 gas pipes, gas burning equipment, water pipes, steam pipes, garbage disposal <br /> 26 units, waste pipes, water closets, sinks, installed dishwashers, lavatories, <br /> 27 bathtubs, shower baths, installed clothes washing machines, catch basins, <br /> 28 drains, vents, and any other similar fixtures and the installation thereof, <br /> 29 together with all connections to water, sewer and gas lines. <br /> 30 <br /> 31 20. Premises - a platted lot or part thereof or unplatted parcel of land, either <br /> 32 occupied or unoccupied by any dwelling or nondwelling structure, including <br /> 33 such building, accessory,structure or other structure thereon. <br /> 34 <br /> 35 21. Public hall - a 'hall, corridor or passageway for providing egress from a <br /> 36 dwelling unit to a public way and not within the exclusive control of one <br /> 37 family. <br /> 38 <br /> 39 22. Recyclables - Materials which may be recycled or reused through recycling <br /> 40 processes, including metal beverage containers,glass, newsprint, plastic bottles <br /> 41 with necks, corrugated cardboard, magazines, catalogs, phone books and any <br /> 42 other materials designated as recyclables by Council resolution. <br />
