<br /> 3.333 (7) Functioning: A structure or a part thereof or any fixture or facility required
<br /> therein in such physical condition as to safely perform the service or services for
<br /> • which it was designed or intended.
<br /> 3.333 (8) Garbage: Putrescible animal and vegetable wastes resulting from the handling,
<br /> preparation, cooling and consumption of food.
<br /> 3.333 (9) Habitable Building: Any building or part thereof that meets_minimum standards
<br /> for use as a home or place of abode by one or more persons.
<br /> 3.333(10) Habitable Room: A room or enclosed floor space used or intended to be used for
<br /> living, sleeping, cooking,or eating purposes, excluding bathrooms, water closet
<br /> compartments, laundries, furnace rooms, pantries, utility rooms of less than 50
<br /> square feet of floor space, foyers, communicating corridors, stairways, closets,
<br /> storage spaces, and workshops, hobby and recreation areas in parts of the
<br /> structure below ground level or in attics, and unfinished basements or cellars
<br /> (those without floor covering, ceiling covering,wall finish,required ventilation,
<br /> required electric outlets and required exit facilities).
<br /> 3.333 (11) Heated Water. Water heated to a temperature of not less than 120 degrees
<br /> Fahrenheit or 49 degrees Centigrade, measured at faucet outlet.
<br /> 3.333 (12) Insanitary: As applied to a structure means liable to be a danger or hazard to the
<br /> health of persons occupying or frequenting it, or to the public, if such danger
<br /> arises from the methods or materials of construction,or from equipment installed
<br /> therein for the purposes of lighting, heating, ventilation, or plumbing, or from
<br /> existing conditions liable to cause rat infestation,vermin infestation,accumulation
<br /> • of trash or debris in the building, yards, or accessory structure on the premises
<br /> (same as unsanitary).
<br /> 3.333 (13) Kitchen: A space which contains a sink with counter working space, adequate
<br /> space for installing cooking and refrigeration equipment, and adequate space for
<br /> storage of cooking utensils.
<br /> 3.333 (14) Multiple Family Dwelling. A building or portion thereof containing three or
<br /> more dwelling units.
<br /> 3.333 (15) Multiple Occupancy. The occupancy of a building that supports, shelters, or
<br /> encloses more than one distinct and separate use, including multiple dwelling
<br /> units,multiple commercial operations,or any combination of these of other uses.
<br /> 3.333 (16) Non-Public Areas: Those areas in a non-residential facility which are not
<br /> normally occupied by the general public or non-employees,or those which would
<br /> be inaccessible to the public under normal circumstances.
<br /> 3.333 (17) Non-Residential Facility: A building or structure which is used for other than
<br /> residential purposes,or a part of such structure, or a structure a part of which is _
<br /> used for other than residential purposes,and in every case,the premises on which
<br /> such a structure or facility is located. This designation shall include,but shall not
<br /> be limited to nursing homes, rest homes, hospitals, schools, churches, public
<br /> buildings,day-care centers,hotels,and all commercial facilities. This designation
<br /> shall not include buildings supporting approved home occupations. _
