4 <br /> Council Member Ranallo had VillageFest buttons available , and <br /> noted that the number on each button would be entered in a <br /> drawing. The committee is seeking volunteers to serve root <br /> beer floats on Saturday, July 22nd, and to sit in the dunk <br /> tank. <br /> The July 25th Council meeting was changed to Wednesday, July <br /> 26th at 6 : 30 p.m. in order to allow St . Anthony officials to <br /> participate in the Central Avenue parade . <br /> Council Member Makowske - Ramsey County League of Local <br /> Governments , St. Anthony Historical Society <br /> Council Member Makowske reported that the Ramsey County <br /> League of Local Governments ' July 19th meeting will be a <br /> picnic tour of Long Lake. She invited the other Council <br /> Members to attend. <br /> Council Member Makowske reported that the St. Anthony <br /> Historical Society plans a meeting for Monday, July 17th to <br /> finalize their VillageFest booth plans . Film and developing <br /> • will be donated by Black ' s for the Society ' s "History in the <br /> Making"VillageFest activity. <br /> She noted that members of the St . Anthony Historical Society <br /> were locked out of City Hall on July 10th but had held a <br /> meeting in the parking lot, which she missed because she was <br /> the only one who had access to the building. <br /> Council Member Enrooth - Hennepin County Groundwater <br /> Committee, Battery Recycling <br /> Council Member Enrooth displayed to the Council a geological <br /> survey map generated by the Hennepin County Groundwater <br /> Committee depicting the groundwater system and its <br /> sensitivity to pollution depending upon soil type and <br /> condition. The information was derived from a survey of <br /> 8 , 500 wells in the County. <br /> He reported that recycling of household batteries was <br /> -discussed at the meeting of the Groundwater Commit.tee . <br /> Presently batteries cannot be recycled, and create a <br /> concentrated source of pollution in our landfills . <br /> • Council Member Marks - Return from Abroad <br />
