WOREL <br /> Staff Engineer <br /> • <br /> EDUCATION: B.S. in Civil Engineering <br /> University of Minnesota, 1989 <br /> SUMMARY EXPERIENCE <br /> Mr. Worel is involved in all facets of Braun Pavement Technologies, Inc. Primarily he is working <br /> on the Strategic Highway Research Program (SHRP) project.This involves the data management <br /> of the North Central Region states/provinces and operating a nondestructive testing device with <br /> the Model 8000 Falling Weight Deflectometer. <br /> Mr. Worel is responsible for data entry/retrieval from the regional data base. The regional data <br /> base (known as RIMS) uses the structural query language (SQL) to obtain reports and analyze <br /> the data. The RIMS software was written using the data.base software known as 'ORACLE'. Mr. <br /> Worel is familiar with SQL commands and uses them to obtain data from RIMS. <br /> Mr. Worel is involved in operating a Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD) for SHRP. This FWD <br /> testing utilizes his knowledge in MSDOS software and ability to operate sophisticated equ.ipment <br /> in the field. This data is collected and entered into RIMS. <br /> Mr. Worel also has conducted surface condition distress surveys for both rigid and flexible <br /> pavements to establish pavement maintenance/rehabilitation alternatives and help implement <br /> pavement management system. <br /> s <br /> • <br />
