• CHAPTER 12. NUISANCES DEFINED AND REGULATED <br /> Section 1200 - NUISANCE DEFINITIONS <br /> 1200.01 Definitions. For the purpose of this Section, the following terms will have <br /> the following meanings: <br /> Subd. 1 Authorized Private Receptacle. A refuse or litter storage and <br /> collection receptacle with suitable handles and a tight fitting cover, which is <br /> maintained, cleaned and kept in a state of repair and which will prevent <br /> leakage. <br /> Subd. 2 Garbage. Putrescible animal and vegetable wastes resulting from <br /> handling, preparation, cooking or consumption of food. <br /> Subd. 3 Park. A playground, beach, recreation area or any other public area <br /> owned or used by the City for open space or recreation. <br /> Subd. 4 Private Property. All property in the City other than public property, <br /> whether inhabited or vacant, including any yard, grounds, walk, driveway, <br /> porch, garage, steps, vestibule or mailbox belonging or appurtenant to such <br /> • property. <br /> Subd. 5 Public Property. Any park, public street, right-of-way, sidewalk, <br /> easement, boulevard, alley or other grounds or buildings, owned, leased or <br /> controlled by the City, the counties of Hennepin or Ramsey, or any other <br /> governmental body or_political subdivision. <br /> Subd. 6 Refuse or Litter. Matter that is, should be, or has been, rejected as <br /> useless and fit only to be thrown out or away, including but not limited to <br /> garbage,.rubbish, and other waste material such as soil, sand, clay, gravel, <br /> loam, brick, plaster, ashes, wood, leaves, dead trees or branches, manure, <br /> chips, shavings, printed matter, paper, pasteboard, grass clippings, rags, straw, <br /> cans and bottles. <br /> Subd. 7 Communicable Disease. An illness due to a specific infectious agent <br /> or toxic product which arises through transmission of that agent or product to <br /> a susceptible host, either directly, through an intermediate plant or animal <br /> host.. vector or inanimate environment. <br /> Subd. 8 Vehicle. Every device in, upon, or by which any person or property <br /> may be transported or drawn upon a street, highway or tracks. <br /> 12-1 <br />
