The amount of the
change order is $19,900.00.
Wagner asked if the swale in the upper left comer of the site plan would interfere
with a children's playground being placed in that area and also exactly what the
change order of$19,900.00 would fund.
Ms.Liz Hermann,.Williams/O'Brien Associates, Inc. stated the swale could
interfere with a children's playground.in that area, depending on the size of the
play area.
Mr. O'Brien stated the $19,900.00 would fund the grading and reconstruction of
the site of the holding ponds as required by the Rice Creek Watershed District. He verified the bus stop and noted
the location of the flag poles in front of the entrance.
Faust stated he felt a walkway in front of the tennis courts was a nice idea and
made more sense than a sidewalk on the edge of the property.
Motion by Enrooth, second by Marks to approve Change Order No. 9, Site
Modification(including Watershed issues and connecting road from police
parking to Silver Lake Road in an amount not to exceed $19,900.00.
Wagner again asked if a children's play area could be located in the area near the
swale.
Mr. O'Brien stated he felt there would be room to accommodate the swale and a
play area and assured the Council that Williams/O'Brien will work with •
Community Services on this issue.
