Specifically, it is in response to the latest flooding which occurred on July 1, 1997
which resulted in a Presidential Declaration of Disaster for areas encompassing the City of St.Anthony.
Please be advised that the City of St.Anthony currently has not been mapped by Flood Hazard Boundary
Maps or the Federal Insurance Rate Maps and has agreed to operated under the Flood Plain Management
criteria for flood prone areas as established in the National Flood Insurance Program regulations under
section 60.3.
The City is currently in the process of filing for flood hazard mitigation funds which became available
as a result of the Presidential Disaster Declaration. We would like to be enrolled in this program as
soon as possible in an effort to further speed that process and to provide our residents the opportunity
to purchase flood insurance for future events.
If you have any questions concerning our application please,do not hesitate to contact me at(612)789-
8881.
Sincerely,
• Mike Morrison
City Manager
c: 'Thomas P.
