. CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> RESOLUTION 98-046 <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING WSB & ASSOCIATES, INC. TO <br /> PREPARE FINAL PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR CONSTRUCTION <br /> OF FLOOD MITIGATION MEASURES IN THE CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> WHEREAS, residents in the City of St. Anthony have been impacted by flood waters; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, WSB & Associates, Inc. has completed an engineering analysis of selected <br /> flood problem areas within the City of St. Anthony; and <br /> WHEREAS, the engineering analysis has outlined public improvements to provide flood <br /> mitigation relief to residents; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of St. Anthony has acquired funding from the State of Minnesota, <br /> the Federal Emergency Management Agency, Hennepin County; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of St. Anthony wishes to construct the flood mitigation measures <br /> i outlined in the engineering analysis. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of St. <br /> Anthony hereby authorizes WSB & Associates, Inc. to prepare final plans, specifications <br /> and bid documents for the construction of flood mitigation measures at the following <br /> areas of the City of St. Anthony: <br /> 1. Silver Point Park; <br /> 2. Central Park; and <br /> 3. 2713 St. Anthony Boulevard, 2716 St. Anthony Boulevard, 2700 Pahl <br /> Avenue, 2704 Pahl Avenue, and 2709 Pahl Avenue, contingent upon the _ <br /> City's purchase of said five properties. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of St. Anthony hereby <br /> authorizes WSB & Associates, Inc. to implement the Flood Mitigation Grant Program on <br /> behalf of the City of St. Anthony. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of St. Anthony hereby <br /> authorizes WSB & Associates, Inc. and the City Staff to acquire necessary easements for <br /> the construction of flood mitigation improvements in the vicinity of Harding Street and <br />
