Parks Commission Meeting Minutes August 10, 1998 Page 15 1 Kosciolek asked if the City has e-mail. She said that 43%of residents have e-mail, and 2 this should be promoted. Hartman replied that the City does not have e-mail yet, but will 3 soon.' 4 Lambrecht suggested a timeline for getting items onto the agenda. 5 Wagner suggested that Carol Jindra could bring whatever items she receives to 6 Commission meetings. 7 Jindra stated the Commission needs to be open with the public to create trust, and that 8 accepting their input would help to do this. 9 Lambrecht requested that the Commission meet at the proposal site for the September 14 10 meeting. Koehntop suggested each individual go on their own and report back to the 11 meeting. Louiselle suggested each member visit the site prior to the next meeting. 12 Morris asked about a date for the work session. Louiselle suggested it be held during the 13 September 14 meeting. 14 Wolff asked how many versions of the drawings there are. Morris stated there may be minor changes only to the new drawings. He added that the Commission should form a 7 consensus at this meeting. 18 Wolff stated that Todd Hubmer would take care of the drawings and any changes. The 19 Commission's role would be to comment. 20 Siggelkow suggested the final vote wait until October or November, after the public has 21 had a chance to review the plans. 22 Jindra asked if a work session is still needed. Wolff replied that no work session is 23 needed until after the drawings have been seen. 24 Wolff asked Todd Hubmer for a timeline of when the drawings would be completed. 25 Hubmer stated that the scaled drawings would be completed and presented on September 26 14. 27 Jindra asked if only Silver Point Park would be discussed at the next meeting. She added 28 that she would like to review Central Park with the Commission as well. Koehntop 29 suggested the first hour be focused on Silver Point Park and the second hour be spent 30 discussing the remaining items. VIII. NEXT PARK COMMISSION MEETING: MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 14, 1998; AND DISCUSS AGENDA ITEMS FOR THAT MEETING.
