Mr. Hubmer mentioned the
19 possibility of sending another letter and scheduling additional meetings.
20 Cavanaugh stated that he felt the Parks Commission should be made aware that the property
21 available through the Home Buyout Program could have a beneficial use for the City. He sug-
22 gested having that issue placed on the Parks Commission agenda.
23 Thuesen offered that he had attended two of the landscaping meetings for the Pahl Avenue area.
24 Although he felt that the neighborhoods were well represented, there was justification for addi-
25 tional feedback to be obtained from residents.
26 Cavanaugh stated a resident had contacted him about interest in the contents of one or more of
27 the homes to be demolished. He suggested the possibility of accepting bids on the entire
28 contents of a home, as opposed to the home's contents taken in piecemeal.
29 Mr. Hubmer offered that he had received telephone calls as well from interested residents.
30 Cavanaugh responded that it would be a good idea for the contents of the homes to be recycled or
31 reused; however, the process needed to be accomplished in a reasonable and uncomplicated man-
32 ner.
3 Cavanaugh requested that Mr. Hubmer look into that matter and return to the Council with a rea-
34 sonable window of opportunity about the possibility of selling the contents of the homes.
