Advertisement for Bids and <br /> Bid Letting <br /> Attend public hearing to present project, answer questions, etc. <br /> Assist the Public Works Director in the preparation of advertisement for bids. <br /> Attend bid opening, review and tabulate bids. <br /> Task V. Construction Administration and Observation <br /> Assist City Engineer in award and administration of construction contract. <br /> Observe construction. review shop drawings and testing and inspection reports, review <br /> . grade lines and layouts and report monthly progress to Parks Commission. <br /> Facilitate regular construction progress meetings with contractor and City Engineer and <br /> review contractors application for payment and change orders. <br /> Prepare final punch list and review project completion. <br /> Schedule and Meetings <br /> We estimate the entire process will take approximately 4 to 5 months. We propose to finalize the <br /> Phase Two plans by the end of October 2000 to allow bidding in January 2001 and a construction <br /> start in April 2001. Surveying should begin as soon as possible to expedite the design <br /> development process. <br /> Regular review meetings (1 per month) with the Public Works Director and Parks Commission <br /> will be part of the design, engineering and construction process. <br /> Estimated Construction Cost <br /> Based upon our discussions with the Parks Commission on December 13th, we have included <br /> monies for athletic field lighting, batting cages, backstop netting, athletic field irrigation and an <br /> . outdoor performance area in the preliminary estimate of construction costs.
