c . 4 1 CITY OF ST. ANTHONY • 2 CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES 3 November 28, 2000 4 I. CALL TO ORDER. 5 Mayor Cavanaugh called the meeting to order at 7:25 p.m. 6 II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. 7 Mayor Cavanaugh invited the Council and the audience to join in the Pledge of Allegiance. 8 III. ROLL CALL. 9 Councilmembers present: Mayor Cavanaugh; Councilmembers Sparks,Thuesen, Horst and 10 Hodson 11 Councilmembers absent: None. 12 Also present: City Manager Michael Mornson; City Attorney William Soth 13 IV. APPROVAL OF NOVEMBER 28,2000 CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING 14 AGENDA. 15 Motion by Hodson to approve the November 28, 2000 City Council Regular Meeting Agenda as 16 presented. .17 Motion carried unanimously. 18 V. PROCLAMATIONS AND RECOGNITIONS. 19 A. Presentation of a Plaque to City Attorney William Soth. 20 Mayor Cavanaugh noted that City Attorney Bill Soth is retiring at the end of the year. In that re- 21 spect, Cavanaugh noted that Mr. Soth has been St. Anthony's City Attorney for 22 years, and 22 with the firm of Dorsey & Whitney for 34 years. 23 Mayor Cavanaugh presented a plaque to Mr. Soth and expressed the City's sincere thanks for all 24 of his hard work and dedication. Mr. Soth spoke by stating that he appreciated the opportunity to 25 work with the City, and has always felt that he was lucky to have the association with the City. 26 He remarked that the City has an excellent staff and feels that the residents can be proud of the 27 Village and Staff. 28 VI. COMMUNITY FORUM. 29 Mayor Cavanaugh invited any of the residents in the audience to discuss issues that are not on 30 the regular meeting agenda. Hearing none, Cavanaugh moved forward with the agenda. 31 VII. CONSENT AGENDA. 32 Motion by Thuesen to approve the Consent Agenda, which consisted of- 33 1.
