GENERAL POLICY BUSINESS OF THE COUNCIL. 6 A. Resolution 00-090 re: Granting Property Tax Abatement for Village Townhomes (Hen- 7 nepin County). 8 City Manager Michael Mornson noted that this is the issue that a public hearing was held at the 9. joint meeting of the City Council and School Board. This resolution will provide the City with 10 the opportunity to begin the abatement process. 11 Motion by Sparks to approved Resolution 00-090, a Resolution Relating to a Tax Abatement by 12 the City on Certain Property Located Within the City and in Hennepin County; Granting the 13 Abatement. 14 Motion carried unanimously. 15 B. Resolution 00-091 re Granting Property Tax Abatement for Evergreen Townhomes 16 (Ramsey County). 17 Motion by Sparks to approve Resolution 00-091, a Resolution Relating to a Tax Abatement by 18 the City on Certain Property Located Within the City and in :Ramsey County, Granting the 19 Abatement. 20 Motion carried unanimously. 21 C. Resolution 00-083 re: Final Plat for Apache Terrace 2 11 Addition. 22 City Manager Michael Mornson reviewed for the Council the background of the Apache Terrace 23 2nd Addition which is being proposed by Village North,LLP and Apache Animal Medicine P.A. 24 Mornson directed the Council's attention to page 25 of the.agenda packets, which is a letter.from 25 City Attorney William Soth dated November 9, 2000. 26 City Attorney Soth reiterated for the Council his comments on the proposal, and summarized by 27 stating that the owners of the Animal Clinic had hoped to include a portion of the railroad right 28 of way in Lot 1. However, delays have been experienced in establishing good title to the right of 29 way. For this reason, the railroad property has been left out of the plat and will need to be com- 30 bined with Lot 1 at a later date. Mr. Soth assured the Council that this combination could be ac- 31 complished with a simple document to be recorded in the real estate records, and at that time, it 32 would not be necessary to replat the property.
