ANTHONY/ <br /> NEW BRIGHTON SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 282 <br /> MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br /> WHEREAS, the City of St. Anthony(the "City") and the St. Anthony/New Brighton <br /> Independent School District No. 282 (ISD 9282);desire to combine the <br /> elections of the City Council and School Board and to.hold said combined <br /> elections on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November in odd <br /> numbered years; and <br /> WHEREAS, to accomplish the combined elections and pursuant to Minnesota State Statutes, <br /> Section 205A.04, the School Board of ISD #282 elected to hold its General <br /> Elections to coincide with City General Elections on odd numbered years. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that: <br /> 1) the City Clerk will conduct all local General Elections; <br /> 2) voting equipment, responsible by the City, will be used; <br /> 3) the School District will reimburse the City 50% of the total non-fixed costs associated <br /> with the election. Future local elections will be negotiated when appropriate; <br /> 4) whenever there is an ISD#282 election without City items on the ballot, ISD #282 may <br /> either conduct the election on its own or contract with the City for the services of the <br /> City Clerk to conduct the Special Election in the manner in which the combined local <br /> General Elections are conducted; <br /> 5) the City will pay the full cost of any local General Elections for which ISD #282 has no <br /> item on the ballot; <br /> 6) ISD #282 will hold harmless the City in the conduct of elections. <br /> CITY OF ST.
