This number does not include police assists. This
number is up from 175 initial complaint reports in 2001.
Reserve Sergeant and St. Anthony Resident Gary Myrick, once again took
top hours for 2002. He put in over 300 hours in the reserve squad and
events. Although these hours do not reflect time-spent training, Officer
Myrick has spent many hours training reserve officers as well as being
actively involved in the 800 MHz transition.
The St. Anthony Police Department struck it big in 2002 in obtaining
Roseville's top reserve John Heimerl and Minneapolis' top reserve Carolyn
Quick. St. Anthony is very fortunate in having these qualified people
serving the community.
Goals for 2003 include graduations from Reserve Officer Training
Association, completion of 800 MHz training, increase off peak patrol shifts,
continued growth with community events, finishing field training, greater
responsibility with inventory and organization, and maintain our excellent
reserve program while trying to keep expenses down.
23
