CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> a COUNCIL MINUTFS <br /> April-8, 1975 <br /> The meeting was called to order by Mayor Miedtke at 7:31 P.M. <br />'r <br /> The following were present for roll call: Haik, Sauer, Sundland, Miedtke, <br /> y - Stauffer. <br /> Also present: Jerry Dulgar, City Manager <br /> Wm. Soth, City Attorney <br /> Jim Fornell, Adm. Asst. <br />' The minutes of the March 25, 1975 meeting were amended as follows: <br /> Page 1, Para. ?: Change "lot size" to "side Jard setback" variance. <br /> Page 6, Line 7: Complete sentence. . . . "at that intersection' with "no <br /> further action should be taken". <br /> Motion by Councilman Sauer, seconded by Councilman Haik to approve the March 25 <br /> Council minutes as amended. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Following a discussion with the City Attorney- regarding the identification of <br /> that portion of Coolidge Street which was to be vacated, the following motion <br /> was made: <br /> Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Sauer to adopt Resolution <br /> 75-022 subject to the signing by Pair. Steve Chamison, owner of the Northgate <br /> Motel, of the revised easement whereby_ only- the, east half of t'-,'e stree-t is being <br /> vacated. <br /> RESOLUTION 75--022 <br /> RESOLUTION VACATING A PORTION OF <br /> COOLIDGE STREET <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Mr. Gordon Hedlund, owner of the undeveloped land across from the Apache Plaza <br /> Shopping Center, appeared to request that the City indicate to Ramsey County <br /> its willingness to include a left hand turn onto Mr. Hedlund's property in their <br /> reconstruction of Silver Lake Road in that area. Mr. Hedlund said he was willing <br /> to pay for the improvement now rather than later when the installation would <br /> run much higher in price. . <br /> Mr. Hedlund said he felt the left turn lane would be necessary for any type of <br /> development of that land and told the Council that a group of former associates <br /> of the Rembrandt Company were now organized as the First American Fnterprises, <br />?i . Inc. and had indicated to the Mayor their interest in the constructton,-of a <br /> retirement complex similar to that for which Rembrandt had been granted a <br /> conditional use permit to construct on Mr. Hedlund's property. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Sauer to authorize the <br /> Manager to request Ramsey County to include a left hand turning lane in their <br /> plans for upgrading the southbound lane of Silver Lake Road across from the <br /> Mobil Station subject to the agreement by Mr. IIedlund that he would pay the city <br /> the cost of such construction. <br />
