Bergstrom <br /> 2 responded that within a year, he believed the view of the property in general would be signifi- <br /> 3 cantly improved. <br /> 4 Horst wished to respond to Ms. Fitzgerald's question regarding service hours. Horst asked Mr. <br /> 5 Kellison if the service hours would be shorter than the business hours. Mr. Kellison responded <br /> 6 that he believed the service hours would be on an eight-hour shift. <br /> 7 Stille asked Mr. Kellison if the doors to the building would be left open during repair, or did the <br /> 8 business have an enclosed ventilation system in place so that noise could be contained inside the <br /> 9 building. Mr. Kellison responded that the business had a complete ventilation system required <br /> to by Code and that all doors could be closed to alleviate noise concerns. Mr. Kellison wished to <br /> 11 state that the business would sell all new equipment. <br /> 12 Jim Higgins, 2712 St. Anthony Boulevard, asked about the future location of the liquor store and <br /> 13 the fire station. He questioned whether the Commission is jeopardizing the ability to plan for <br /> 14 these locations in the future. <br /> 15 Bergstrom responded that the Commission was attempting to move along a viable project, but <br /> 16 not at the expense of stalling any projected plans for the liquor store or fire station. Mr. Hagens <br /> 17 asked if the Commission was hoping that other retail would arrive in anticipation of available <br /> 18 space. Bergstrom clarified that the liquor store and fire station are at the other edge of the <br /> 19 property and he did not believe this would be an issue. <br /> 20 Dan Ganley, 3201 Wendhurst, asked if the City would be responsible for the cost of maintaining <br /> 21 the proposed green space. Morrison clarified that maintenance of the green space would be a <br /> 22 separate contract. Ganley asked if the conditional use permit allowing the sale of recreational <br /> 23 vehicles would apply towards other merchants in the shopping center. Bergstrom clarified that <br /> 24 the current application would not provide for unusual allowances and that The Hitching Post <br /> 25 would be conducting business as allowed under current requirements. <br /> 26 <br /> 27 Horst stated that Mr. Krier had suggested the shopping center had retail viability and that a <br /> 28 Master Plan has been developed in accordance with those suggestions. However, Horst cau- <br /> 29 tioned that all plans have not been finalized and it is the intent to make the shopping center into a <br /> 30 showplace for the City and the surrounding area. <br /> 31 Richard Kriber requested clarification regarding any auto repair taking place at The Hitching <br /> 32 Post. Mr. Kellison clarified that the classification of auto repair was used on the application <br /> 33 because there would be trailer hitches installed on vehicles. Mr. Kellison assured Mr. Kriber that. <br /> 34 auto repair would not take place at The Hitching Post. <br /> 35 Chair Bergstrom closed the public hearing at 9:10 p.m. and requested input from the <br /> 36 Commissioners. <br />
