ANTHONY • COUNCIL MINUTES November 22 , 1983 s a The meeting. was opened at 7 : 30 P.M. with the Pledge of Allegiance led by Mayor Sundland. z Present for roll call : Marks, Ranallo, Sundland, and Enrooth. Absent: Letourneau. i Also present: David Childs, City Manager; and Judy Makowske , i Councilman-elect. 4 j Motion by Councilman Ranallo and seconded by Councilman Marks to approve as submitted the minutes of the Council meeting held November 8, 1983 . i Motion carried unanimously . Motion by Councilman Marks and seconded by Councilman Enrooth to grant a starting and towing license to Murphy Service Center, Inc. , 3501 29th Avenue N.E. , in accordance with .the license application. distri- buted by the City Manager. • Motion carried unanimously . Motion by Councilman P7arks and seconded by Councilman Enrooth to- approve payment of $1,514 . 10 to Ed Hance for the October prosecutions . Motion carried unanimously . Motion by Councilman Psarks and seconded by Councilman P.anallo to continue the tradition of cancelling the meeting which falls between Christmas and New Years, December 27, 1983 . Motion carried unanimously . Councilmen Enrooth and Marks were directed to meet with Mr. Childs for a preliminary review of the City Manager' s contract which is up for renewal the first of the year. The full Council will act on the contract during a special work session sometime after the Committee meets . Councilman Letourneau arrived at 7 : 35 P.M. Councilman Ranallo reported he had been appointed to serve as vice chairman of the group who are doing the preliminary planning for - the League of Minnesota Cities convention in Duluth in June . One of the seminars which is being considered is one suggested by the Association of City Managers which -would present a mock employment interview for • major municipal staff positions .
