F <br />.7 <br /> Agenda Item: Reports-3a Status : Informational <br /> MEMORANDUM <br /> DATE: December 7, 1983 <br /> TO: David Childs , City Manager <br /> Department Heads <br /> FROM: Connie Kroeplin , Administrative Secretary <br /> a <br />� SUBJECT: Staff Meeting Notes - December 6 , 1983 <br /> ----------------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> The meeting began at 2 : 15 P .M. Present were : Carol Johnson, , Connie <br /> Kroeplin, Dave Childs , Lee Entner and Ray Nelson. Larry Hamer and <br /> Don Hickerson were absent . <br /> Ray Nelson presented an interesting and detailed discussion on the <br /> myriad aspects of opening the new liquor warehouse. Ile made note that <br /> the ice machine has arrived; however, there are still items he is <br /> awaiting, i .e . , tobacco, etc. Mr. Nelson has placed ads in the <br /> Minneapolis Star this week and radio station K-102 FM will -carry ads <br /> for the liquor warehouse beginning December 7th through December 10th. <br /> The end result of all the planning and preparation was enthusiastically <br /> stated by Mr. Nelson in three words - Business is Booming ! <br /> Finalization of bids for the new .fire pumper is to be held this <br /> evening (December 6th) , Chief Entner reported . He also stated <br /> St. Paul will administer the joint purchasing group in which he has <br /> been active the past year. <br /> Dave Childs indicated Don Mosher from Senator Rudy Boschwitz ' s office <br /> will attend the Council ' s December 13th meeting . Other items on the <br /> Council ' s agenda for that evening include a resolution regarding snow <br /> plowing with Ramsey County , a request concerning Herman Weber ' s sick <br /> leave , Chemical Abuse minutes , the Elmwood Lutheran Church request <br /> for additional construction and an H. R.A. meeting, which will follow <br /> the regular Council meeting. <br /> Meeting adjourned at 3 : 20 P .M. <br /> cjk <br />
