Pawelskv llarlan,41.Olson City of Saint Anthony 3301 Silver Lake Road St. Anthony, Mn. 55418 Attn: Mr. Larry Hamer Public Works Director ` Re: Roseville Connection Study Our File No. 205 Dear Larry, As requested, we have reviewed the work that would be required to complete a Study -on the potential for connecting the Saint Anthony Water System to the Roseville Water System. The Study would evaluate two alternative methods of connecting to Roseville's system: 1) Supplemental Water Supply 2) Permanent Water Supply The supplemental water supply would be provided by connecting to Roseville's system in the vicinity of County Road C or C2 and T.H. 88. Roseville has an existing twelve (12") inch water main in this area that would be capable of supplying 1,000 to 1,200 gallons per minute (gpm) of flow to Saint Anthony. This delivery rate would require that Saint Anthony retain some of their ex- isting wells as the City's primary source of water. The Study would also evaluate the provision of a permanent supply of water from Roseville by connecting to a larger distribution main (16") that exists in Roseville on the west side of 35W at County Road C. This 16" main could potentially supply 2,000 to 2,500 gpm of water to Saint Anthony. Saint Anthony might have to maintain some of the existing wells to supplement the water from Roseville but this connection would be capable of meeting the ma- jority of Saint Anthony's peak demands. We propose to prepare a Study that would evaluate the two alternative Rose- ville connections. The Study would provide recommendations regarding the points -of connection to both Saint Anthony's and Roseville's system, the rout- ing and sizing of the -required water mains, and the location and sizing of a • booster station.
