Present were Dave Childs , Carol <br /> Johnson, Lee Entner, Connie Kroeplin, Larry Hamer, Ray Nelson , and <br /> Don Hickerson. <br /> i <br /> t The auditors are expected to begin their audit the week of April 10th. <br /> i <br /> Carol Johnson and Barbara Hickerson will attend a seminar being <br /> offered by Comserv, the computer company used by the City, on April 4th <br /> and 5th. <br /> The old, red pumper will be sold and Lee Entner has already been con- <br /> tacted by one interested buyer. Mr. Entner also presented an <br /> interesting drawing and ideas he obtained from a boot: concerning <br /> corporation structures , how they coincide with the fire service <br /> structure and a comparison of American and Japanese corporate structures . <br /> Seven applications for the branch chipping program have been received <br /> as of -April' 3rd. Street sweeping is nearing completion. The hockey <br /> rinks will be dismantled and the tennis courts will be readied <br /> April 9th according to Larry Hamer. <br /> The exercise room should be completed by the end of April. The Public <br /> [corks personnel are in the process of building racks , an incline <br /> bench, -etc. A dumb bell weight has been purchased ( $305) . Because <br /> the universal gym will cost about $4 , 000 and the treadmill about <br /> $1;800 , purchase of these items will be allocated on future budgets . <br /> Ray Nelson noted sales for the liquor operations are up a quarter <br /> million dollars ('46h%) over the same quarter last year. He especially <br /> noted the increase from the Stonehouse. The liquor warehouse was <br /> inventoried March 31st and April st. The SAV television commercial , <br /> starring Lila Johnson, will be shot April 4th . It will be shown on <br /> Channel 11 about mid-May, after Mr. Nelson returns from his Hawiian <br /> trip. <br /> The High School requested permission to park on 33rd -Avenue N.E. on <br /> April 11th due 'to conferences . Chief Hickerson suggested a charge <br /> • for gun permit applications . Each applicant must be investigated, <br /> which would- justify the charge and many other communities have such <br /> a fee . The Chief.'will look into this idea further. <br />
