Mr. Yates commented that he appreciated the City's dilemma with the: roadway, -but he .believed the -Council should also have kept in mind the fact that the golf. course is in St. Anthony and that 70 % of the users are not from Minneapolis, and 20 % of those are from St. Anthony. s The Manager noted that the City would be getting $12,952 in supplemental 1984 Local Government Aid under legislation passed this year but he cautioned making any budget changes to accomodate that amount until after the six year liquor operations report is completed next month since those revenues will be down from what was anticipated in the budget for this period. Al Kaeding, the City's representative to the North Suburban Cable Communications Commission gave an update on the provision of cable service to the City by Group IV and presented the Mayor with a check for $8,625 from Group IV, which was a reimbursement of monies given to the Commission by St. Anthony. z Mr. Kaeding reported he had attended the National Cable T.V. Association meeting in Washington D.C. , where he had been made painfully aware of the clout the cable companies have, which led him to conclude the Cable Commission had been very fortunate to get the revised ordinance it had with Group IV. The Commission representative indicated he perceives the City would be getting all the servies which are available at this time and under the ordinance had the capability of • receiving 110 channels, if necessary. The'Council and Mayor's concerns with the lack of safety measures and professional appearance of the line crews would be reported back to Group IV, Mr. Kaeding said. However, he indicated- he perceives all that would change when Group IV representatives take over the installation of the access lines to the residences, since all the workers he had met had been very personable and professional. Mr. Kaeding indicated he expected the revised ordinance would be available for Council consideration at their next meeting.
