Association meeting in
Washington D.C. , where he had been made painfully aware of the clout the cable
companies have, which led him to conclude the Cable Commission had been very
fortunate to get the revised ordinance it had with Group IV. The Commission
representative indicated he perceives the City would be getting all the servies
which are available at this time and under the ordinance had the capability of
• receiving 110 channels, if necessary.
The'Council and Mayor's concerns with the lack of safety measures and professional
appearance of the line crews would be reported back to Group IV, Mr. Kaeding said.
However, he indicated- he perceives all that would change when Group IV representatives
take over the installation of the access lines to the residences, since all the
workers he had met had been very personable and professional. Mr. Kaeding indicated
he expected the revised ordinance would be available for Council consideration at
their next meeting.
The Mayor asked for Council reaction to the Sister Cities exchange program at the
next meeting.
k
Motion by Councilman Ranallo and seconded by Councilman Marks to adjourn the meeting
at 8:35 p.m. for. the Housing and Redevelopment Authority meeting which followed
immediately.
e,
t.
f
Motion carried unanimously.
f
Respectfully submitted,
Helen Crowe, Secretary
s
Mayor
ATTEST:
City Clerk
