She asked if there <br /> 7 were any ' particular issues other Councilmembers might want_ her to bring <br /> 8 up for discussion at the next session. <br /> 9 Ramsey County League of Local Governments to Continue Study of St.. Paul <br /> 10 Water Quality, June 24th <br /> 11 Although it appears -there would be no permanent solution found to <br /> 12 eliminate the poor taste and smell in the St. Paul water supply, <br /> 13 Councilmember Makowske indicated she -would continue to follow up on the <br /> 14 issue by attending the next meeting on the subject the following <br /> 15 evening. - Mr. Childs said he understood the study committee perceived <br /> 16 there had been some improvement in the water quality but concurred that <br /> 17 this was a problem which would probably not be easily corrected. <br /> 18 DEPARTMENT AND COMMITTEE <br /> 19 The following were noted and ordered filed as informational: <br /> •20 *report from the Edward J. Sales Summary. <br /> 26 <br /> 27 Fire Department Responding to Different Types of Medical Emergencies <br /> 28 Mr. Childs discussed Fire Chief Entner ' s observations on the type of <br /> 29 medical calls which had been -reported in the June 16th staff meeting <br /> 30 notes. He said neither he nor Chief Entner could find any specific <br /> 31 reason for the rather generalized increase in medical emergencies other . <br /> 32 than heart-related, for which the Fire Department had been called out. <br /> 33 The notes were ordered filed. <br /> 34 CITY MANAGER" <br /> 35 Council- Approves Cardboard Baler for Apache Liquor Warehouse <br /> 36 The Counci,l: considered the City Manager' s --recommendation that the above <br /> 37 be leased under a buy-out arrangement, which would cost the.
