Association of Metropolitan Municipalities Annual Dues <br /> 2 <br /> 3 Motion by Ranallo, second by Makowske to approve payment of $1 ,910.00 to <br /> 4 the Association of Metropolitan Municipalities. <br /> 5 <br /> 6 Roll call : Marks, Makowske, Ranallo - aye Enrooth - nay <br /> 7 <br /> 8 Mayor Pro-tem Ranallo will represent the City as its delegate to the <br /> 9 Association of Metropolitan Municipalities and Sue-VanderHeyden, Assistant <br /> 10 to the City Manager will serve as the alternate. <br /> 11 <br /> 12 CHRISTMAS LIGHTING AWARDS PRESENTATION <br /> 13 <br /> 14 Ms. Barbara Olsonoski , President of the St. Anthony Chamber of Commerce, pre- <br /> 15 sented award checks to the following winners of the Christmas Lighiing Contest. <br /> 16 <br /> 17 lst place: Jeff Hanson - $200.00 <br /> 18 2nd place: Henry Czupryna - $150.00 <br /> 19 <br /> 20 -3rd place: Thomas Baker - $100.00 <br /> 21 4th place: Mark and Sharon Walker $50.00 <br /> 22 5th place: Frank Litecky - $25.00 <br /> 23 Ms. Olsonoski noted that the judging was done by the St. Anthony Gardenettes <br /> 25 <br /> - - 24 - -and-that--this-contest-wi-l-l-aga-in--be-he-1-d-i-n 1-990.- - - -- - — - <br /> 26 <br /> 27 6. REPORTS <br /> 28 <br /> �9 A. Planning Commission- December 19, 1989 Meeting <br /> 30 Mayor Pro Tem Ranallo stated that Councilmember Makowske would be abstaining <br /> 31 from discussion and voting due to her business relations with LaNel . Com- <br /> 32 missioner Wagner was in attendance representing the Planning Commission. <br /> 33 1 . Sign Variance Request from LaNel Financial for the Autumn Woods Apart- <br /> 34 ments Located at 2600 Kenzie Terrace <br /> 35 <br /> 36 At the December 19th meeting of the Planning Commission LaNel amended its <br /> 37 initial request for signage at Autumn Woods. The original request was for <br /> 38 three signs for a total of 68.25 square feet. The amended request - is for <br /> 39 four signs at a total of 50. 19 square feet. Commissioner Wagner stated that <br /> 40 the monument sign is already .constructed and he felt it is done with very <br /> 41 good taste. He advised that the recommendation of the Planning Commission <br /> 42 was a compromise between the Planning Commission and the developer. The <br /> 43 Planning Commission had recommended- that sign #1 be placed at the complex's <br /> 44 secondary entrance off of Kenzie Terrace; -sign #2 be placed below the monu- <br /> 46 ment sign; sign #4 be placed at the rear of the complex; and, that signs <br /> 47 #1 and #3 be 15 square feet each and that signs #2 and #4 be smaller and <br /> 48 directional only in nature. <br /> 49 <br /> 50 It was noted that some members of the Planning Commission felt some of the <br />
