League of Minnesota Cities ' Conference <br /> 8 <br /> 9 The City Manager reminded Councilmembers of the <br /> 10 League of Minnesota Cities ' Conference on March <br /> 11 24th and requested that anyone who wishes to attend <br /> 12 notify him so registrations can be made. <br /> 13 <br /> 14 4 . Northgate Condo Association Member <br /> 15 <br /> 16 The City Manager was contacted by a member of the <br /> 17 Northgate Condo Association who was concerned with <br /> 18 the content of a flyer- she found in her business <br /> 19 mail box . <br /> 20 <br /> 21 The flyer referred to the discussions held at the <br /> 22 City' s Town Meeting regarding solutions for the <br /> 23 stormwater problems being experienced. Her alarm <br /> 24 focused specifically on one solution suggested <br /> 25 which was to put in a holding pond in a location <br /> 26 very near Northgate. <br /> 27 <br /> 28 The City Manager assured her that these were only • <br /> 29 recommendations from the consultant and that no <br /> 30 impact studies have been done at this point in <br /> 31 time . He noted that some of the solutions proposed <br /> 32 would remedy one situation, but cause one for <br /> 33 someone else . <br /> 34 <br /> 35 He advised her that another Town Meeting is being <br /> 36 scheduled for April and encouraged her and her <br /> 37 neighbors in Northgate to attend. <br /> 38 <br /> 39 The City Manager stated that this issue of flooding <br /> 40 is discussed frequently by staff . Members of the <br /> 41 staff will be prepared to present the handling of <br /> 42 some of these problems on an individual basis at <br /> 43 the next Town Meeting. <br /> 44 <br /> 45 Councilmember Enrooth noted that the problems come <br /> 46 from development as well as Mother Nature. <br /> 47 <br /> 48 Councilmember Fleming observed that other tenants <br /> 49 or leasees of Northgate may have misinterpreted the <br /> 50 flyer and may not have followed through as this <br /> 51 person d"id. She felt there should be an update <br /> 52 given on this matter w-ith more detail . She <br /> 53 suggested this information be put in the paper . <br /> 54 <br />
