Burt, City Manager <br /> FROM: David Mark Urbia, Management Assistant <br /> ITEM: BUSINESS COMMUNITY INPUT REGARDING PROPOSED SIGN <br /> ORDINANCE <br /> I sent a memo and copy of the proposed sign ordinance to the following business <br /> organizations: <br /> (1) Chamber of Commerce, President <br /> (2) Apache Plaza Management <br /> (3) Apache Plaza Merchants Association, President <br /> (4) St. Anthony Merchants Association, President <br /> (5) St. Anthony Shopping Center Management <br /> I received input from the St. Anthony Merchants Association. The association members <br /> would like an additional monument sign for the Kenzie Terrace entrance (the size of the <br /> current monument sign allowed). In addition, they would like a larger monument sign where <br /> the current one is in place. Finally, they questioned why some commercial establishments <br /> cannot have their franchise trademark sign (i.e. Dairy Queen, Kentucky-Fried Chicken).
