ANTHONY VUAAGE i
3301 Silver take Road
St. Anthony, MN 55418
RE: PROPOSED CHANGES TO THE CITY SIGN ORDINANCES
(
i
Dear David: !
As requested under you May 28, 1992, let !to me, I have the following comments on the
proposed changes to the sign ordinances:
l
1) Page 7 SUBD.17. Sims Attached To A Vehicle - Proposed change provides
that vehicles with attached sigruag shall, not be parked in all zones for more than
48 hours. My question on tats is: what about delivery vans or tow trucks
which may not be used for a period of time which may exceed the 48 hour
maximum?
" I
Page 9 SUBD.12. Real Estate Signs. - Real estate signs shall not have a
combined surface greater than 12 square feet. Does this pertain to the leasing
signs presently on site at the St Anthony Shopping Center-7 We have one sign
located at the front which I believe is a 4 x 8 foot sign and we have a second
sign on the rear of the center I which I believe is a 2 x 3 foot sign. These
combined would be in excess; of 12 square feet. Will the proposed sign
ordinance change affecting our leasing signing?
Page 14 SUBD.2. Commercial and Limited Business; Paragraph 3 -The square
footage minimum requirement of 100,000 square feet would exclude the St.
Anthony Shopping Center from this provision. The total square footage of St.
Anthony Shopping Center is 87;375. We presently have a directory sign on the
side of the St:. Anthony Fund Center which lists some of the tenants. Similarly,
under Paragraph 4 on the sauce page, there is a minimum square footage
requirement of 100,000 square,!feet.
i
I
i
