Planning Commission Bylaws Draft #1, May 11, 1992 <br /> CITY OF ST. ANTHONY PLANNING COMMISSION BY-LAWS <br /> 1. The number of meetings per month and a schedule of meeting <br /> dates shall be established and may be altered or changed at <br /> any regularly scheduled meeting. One regular meeting date is <br /> established each month on the third Tuesday at 7 : 30 P.M. in <br /> the Council Chambers. <br /> 2 . Additional meetings may be held at any time upon the call of <br /> the chairperson or by a majority of the voting members of the <br /> commission or upon request of the .City Council following at <br /> least twenty-four hours notice to each member of the <br /> commission. <br /> 3 . The commission at its first regular meeting in January of each <br /> year shall elect a chairperson and vice-chairperson and shall <br /> also elect a recording secretary who need not be an appointed <br /> member (however, City staff usually contracts with an <br /> individual to perform this function) . <br /> 4. The duties and powers of the officers of the Planning <br /> Commission shall be as follows: <br /> A. Chairperson: <br /> (1) Preside at all meetings of the commission. <br /> (2) Call special meetings of the commission in <br /> accordance with the by-laws. <br /> (3) Sign documents of the commission. <br /> (4) See that all actions of the commission are properly <br /> taken. <br /> B. vice-chairperson: <br /> During the absence, disability, or disqualification of <br /> the chairperson, the vice-chairperson shall exercise or <br /> perform all the duties and be subject to all the <br /> responsibilities of the chairperson. <br /> C. Recording secretary: <br /> (1) Give or serve all notices required by law or by the <br /> by-laws (performed by the City Clerk) . <br /> (2) Prepare the agenda for all meetings of the <br /> commission (performed by the City Clerk) . <br /> (3) Be custodian of commission records (performed by <br /> the City Clerk) . <br /> (4) Inform the commission of correspondence relating to <br /> business of the commission and attend to such <br /> correspondence (performed by the City Manager or <br /> designee) . <br /> (5) Handle funds allocated to the commission in <br /> PAGE 1 <br />
