STAFF UPDATE <br /> 4 <br /> 5 Members of the Planning Commission received copies of the 1993 Planning <br /> 6 Commission roster. <br /> 7 <br /> 8 Management Assistant Urbia announced two Planning Commission training <br /> 9 opportunities for Commissioners to consider. Interested Commissioner members <br /> 10 should contact Urbia for registration information. <br /> 11 <br /> 12 Members of the Planning Commission received copies of the 1992 Code of <br /> 13 Ordinances. Management Assistant Urbia explained the update process, where staff <br /> 14 will provide those pages with changes, and each Commissioner is responsible to <br /> 15 change their Ordinance book. <br /> 16 <br /> 17 8. COMMISSIONERS' COMMENTS <br /> 18 <br /> 19 a. Commissioner Madden's Comments <br /> 20 Commissioner Madden questioned the Northgate Office Park sign. Management <br /> 21 Assistant Urbia explained staff enforcement efforts, including the sign in question. <br /> 22 At the time, no response was given to the staff letter, but follow up will occur. <br /> 23 <br /> 24 b. Commissioner Gondorchin's Comments <br /> 25 Commissioner Gondorchin reported on the February Environmental <br /> 26 Quality/Recycling Committee Meeting. He stated the meeting was very informative <br /> 27 regarding water, sanitary sewer, and stormwater issues. Commissioner Gondorchin <br /> 28 stated he will be unable to attend the May 13th meeting due to a conflict, and hoped <br /> 29 another Planning Commissioner would be able to fill in. <br /> 30 <br /> 31 Commissioner Gondorchin stated his displeasure in the manner the City Council <br /> 32 handled the RV parking issue in relation to the Planning Commission. He felt for <br /> 33 the Commission to work on the issue and then the City Council to indicate it may not <br /> 34 want to consider an ordinance. Urbia stated that the Council provided this <br /> 35 information, at the request of the City Manager, so that the Planning Commission <br /> 36 would know the Council's feelings on the matter so that the Commission may <br /> 37 determine the direction to take on the issue. Urbia further stated that the Council <br /> 38 did not wish to offend the Commission in any way. <br /> 39 <br /> 40 C. Commissioner Franzese's Comments <br /> 41 Commissioner Franzese reported City Council actions at the February. 9, 1993 <br /> 42 Council Meeting. The City Council did not approve by a 2 to 1 vote the • <br />
