• <br /> CITY OF ST ANTHONY REVISED <br /> POLICE RESERVE <br /> BYLAWS <br /> Article I - Purposes and Oboectives: <br /> 1 . To assist any police officer, firefighter, civil defense personnel or other duly <br /> authorized City employee, official or agent in the performance of emergency <br /> services. <br /> 2. To assist with crowd control activities, and park patrol duties, under the <br /> supervision of a regular, sworn police officer. <br /> 3. To conduct and participate in the crime prevention activities of the St: Anthony <br /> Police Department. These activities will include, but are not limited to: <br /> a. Education in public safety and crime prevention techniques; <br /> b. Encouraging enrollment and participation in Operation Identification and <br /> Neighborhood Crime Watch; • <br /> C. Conduction of premise security checks of residential and non-residential <br /> buildings within the community; and <br /> d. Public presentations and information dissemination on topics as approved <br /> by the Chief of Police. <br /> 4. To perform other lawful functions as directed by the Chief of Police and his <br /> assigned supervisor. <br /> 5. The principal purpose of the Reserve Police is to assist the regular Police in their <br /> duties. They are not to be used in place of regular Police Officers, but may <br /> assist regular Police Officers assigned to details such as, but not limited to, <br /> sporting events, parades, funerals, special events that require traffic direction <br /> and control, and other local details. Under no circumstances shall Reserve <br /> Officers be assigned to any detail that requires the services of a state licensed <br /> regular Police Officer, without the explicit permission of the Chief of Police. <br /> Article II - Membership: <br /> Applicants must meet the following requirements: • <br />
