Good driving record - no alcohol-related offenses, and must possess a valid <br /> driver's license. <br /> 3. Good physical condition as attested to be a doctor's certification of heath, to <br /> be paid for by the applicant. <br /> 4. A resident of the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area and U.S. citizens only. <br /> 5. The City shall avoid appointment of persons related to elected or appointed City <br /> officials. <br /> 6. Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. <br /> 7. Must not have any felony or gross misdemeanor offense convictions, and must <br /> • be willing to submit to a background investigation. <br /> 8. Must possess, or obtain within six months, a valid Red Cross First Aid <br /> Certificate or equivalent, as determined by Chief of Police <br /> 9. Pass such examinations as determined by City Manager to determine fitness for <br /> the Reserve, to be paid for by the City of St. Anthony. <br /> 10. Within one year after acceptance, complete either the Hennepin or Ramsey <br /> County Civil Defense Auxiliary Reserve Training Program or a similar program <br /> designated by the City Manager. Until such a program is completed, members <br /> shall be considered trainees. Failure to complete the program within one year <br /> shall be grounds for dismissal. <br /> 11 . Members shall be on probation until an approved reserve training program has <br /> been completed. As trainee Reserve Officers, they are to be accompanied by <br /> either a Reserve Officer, a regular Police Officer, or be in training sessions at <br /> all times. <br /> • <br />
