I REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br /> 2 MARCH 8 , 1994 <br /> 3 PAGE 7 <br /> 4 <br /> 5 Councilmember Wagner stated that members of the School <br /> 6 Board would like to attend the March 22nd Council <br /> 7 Meeting. It is their wish to be available to respond to <br /> 8 any questions regarding costs associated with the <br /> 9 building and the referendum. <br /> 10 <br /> 11 The Mayor responded they can attend if they so choose. <br /> 12 Councilmember Enrooth felt this would give them another <br /> 13 forum for discussion . Councilmember Wagner noted that <br /> 14 some residents suggested that the building is being <br /> 15 constructed for the use of non-resident students . He felt <br /> 16 it would be appropriate if they could respond to this <br /> 17 type of comment and any further questions . <br /> 18 <br /> 19 Councilmember Fleming observed there was very poor <br /> 20 attendance at the precinct caucases . <br /> 21 <br /> 22 3 . Report of Councilmember Enrooth <br /> Councilmember Enrooth advised that the Village Fest <br /> 25 Committee is not meeting on a regular basis at this time. <br /> 26 He. will give an update on the activities at the March <br /> 27 22nd Council Meeting. <br /> 28 <br /> 29 Mayor Ranallo inquired if it is still the intention of <br /> 30 the Village Fest Committee 'to groom co-chair persons for <br /> 31 the future. Councilmember Enrooth responded this is the <br /> 32 idea. <br /> 33 <br /> 34 Mayor Ranallo noted that the fiftieth anniversary of the <br /> 35 incorporation i�s coming up. There is confusion if this is <br /> 36 incorporation of the Village or the City. This matter is <br /> 37 being researched. <br /> 38 <br /> 39 4 . Report •of Mayor Ranallo <br /> 40 <br /> 41 Mayor Ranallo attended the recent meeting of the Cable <br /> 42 Commission. He did not vote in favor of cable rates being <br /> 43 increased. These rates are governed by the FCC. <br /> 44 <br /> 45 The Cable Commission went on record as contesting any <br /> 46 rate increase. The Mayor advised there will be a public <br /> 47 hearing to address this matter. <br /> 4 Mayor Ranallo was elected Vice-Chair of the Cable <br /> 50 Commission. <br />
