• CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY/RECYCLING TASK FORCE <br /> March 10, 1994 <br /> The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Enrooth at 7:00 P.M. <br /> Present: Dick Enrooth, Bob Patterson, Doug Hall, Doug Bergstrom, Dave Beneke, Scott <br /> Benik, Keith Pearson and Larry Hamer, Interim City Manager <br /> Absent: Martin Lunde, Carol Batzli Barkley, Trudy Hentges, and Sandra McDonald <br /> Motion by Bergstrom, seconded by Hall to approve the March 10, 1994 Environmental <br /> Quality/Recycling Task Force Agenda with the change of item A of the agenda "Election" <br /> being moved to the last item on the agenda. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by Bergstrom, seconded by Hall to accept the minutes of the September 9, 1993 <br /> Environmental/Quality Recycling Task Force meeting as presented. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> A summary of 1993 recycling issues was discussed. Curb side pick up and industrial <br /> recycling was also reviewed. <br /> Bob Patterson, a new member of the Task Force was brought up to date on recycling and solid <br /> waste haulers. <br /> Spring Clean-Up <br /> an-Up <br /> Spring Clean-Up Day in-St. Anthony is scheduled for Saturday, May 7, 1994 from 9:00 A.M. <br /> to 1:00 P.M.. Chairperson Enrooth told the Task Force that it was not cost effective to have <br /> the Fall Clean-Up Day in addition to the Spring Clean-Up Day. Mr. Pearson commented that <br /> he would prefer two clean up days a year. Chairperson Enrooth asked the Task Force for <br /> assistance during the Spring Clean-Up. Mr. Bergstrom and Mr. Pearson volunteered to help. <br /> Other topics discussed included: <br /> 1. Appliance recyclers are licensed by the State. <br /> 1 There is now use for tire material. <br /> 3. Reduction on the solid waste haulers' tipping charges were put into effect by <br /> • Hennepin County because the county's incinerator charges were lowered. -It <br />
